The deals of this research regarding Anchieta´s Building, that´s located on the Avenida Paulista corner with Rua da Consoloção in São Paulo city, taking it as cut and principal element to understand the urban and architectural history of the city, settings under the logical preservation heritage. The chosen object takes mean questions regarding São Paulo city, as the begin of the vertical growth, about the construction of housing for workers such as those related for financing the IAPI process, and the spread on the modern architecture movement in São Paulo. This study also aims to contribute to the knowledge of the trajectory of MM Roberto´s office and his architect's born in Rio de Janeiro, which were the Anchieta´s building project authors. Finally, we seek to bring the Anchieta´s building project as an architectural and urban heritage, discussing their relationship of the physical preservation, emphasizing their importance to São Paulo.
