Abstract The post-doc project aims to analyze: 1) the relationship between sedimentary environments, vegetation, and paleoecological changes documented in the Neogene and Quaternary deposits of the Solimões and Amazonas basins and the Bragantina Platform in the Brazilian Amazonia; (2) understand the influence of the Andean orogeny by analyzing the relative abundance of montane palynomorphs in sedimentary deposits of Amazon Basin;(3) increase the knowledge of the evolution, diversification, and radiation of the Amazon forest; (4) verify paleoenvironmental adaptation of vegetation of the Neogene and Quaternary using palynomorphic data and fossilwood as paleoenviromental and paleoclimatic indicators; and (5) evaluate the paleoclimatic signals and the influence of sea-level changes on the development and evolution of Amazonian continental and transitional environments.
