Abstract

Muscle injuries are common in both amateur and professional athletes and your treatment demands care costs, and time for tissue regeneration to occur, this can lead to withdrawal of the sport and can thus act as a disincentive to their practice. In this context, it is relevant to the development of efficient therapies for tissue recovery. The platelet-rich plasma (PRP) has growth factors that stimulate angiogenesis, myogenesis besides reducing inflammation. For your turn, low-level laser therapy (LLLT) has action antioxidants, is anti-inflammatory, and stimulates myogenesis. In this study, we will evaluate the effect of LLLT associated or not with PRP in the treatment of muscle stretch injury in rat plantaris muscle therapy. In this research, the animals will be divided into six groups, namely: control (C), control lesion (CL), acute lesion control (CLA) , lesion group platelet-rich plasma (LP), injury group laser therapy (LLT) and lesion group laser therapy and platelet-rich plasma (LLP). The animals will be subjected to stretch injury to the plantaris muscle (except group C) and then treatment protocols will be applied, after seven days they will be euthanized and the plantaris muscle removed for histological analysis. Therefore the objective of this research is to analyze the muscle tissue of rats after muscle stretch injury and underwent the following treatment techniques: LLLT and PRP, and a combination of both by histological analysis.
