Third molar extraction is an adverse invasive procedure to patients by engaging potential complications during and after the intervention . The aim of the study is to identify patient perceptions about their surgical experience as well as their responses in the context of this experience and events that facilitate or hinder the recovery after third molar extraction. Ten patients aged between 18 and 24 years who are undergoing third molar extraction will be recruted. After suture removal, participants signing the consent form will be asked to answer individually questions from an interview guide. This guide investigate the following topics: (1) Surgery experience, trying to understand how they knew the procedure and the condition he was exposed on the day of surgery and (2) recovery process of the third molar extraction. The information will be described as behaviors (antecedents, consequences and response classes) and related with situations or contexts of the surgery and recovery period. Studies like this allow to understand the professional-patient relationship as well as the identification of the difficulties encountered by the patient and self-care behavior.
