Abstract

This project seeks to continue and comprehend this researcher's scientific initiation, funded by FAPESP - process number 2011/12902-3, which aimed to understand the construction of the teacher's knowledge of sex education in 04 public schools, 02 from Coimbra - Portugal and 02 from Piracicaba, São Paulo - Brazil. The current project aims to understand how the project of future in socio-affective dimension is built by teachers in different areas (humanities, mathematical sciences and biological) and also by students, involving issues of sexuality in both the teachers' and the students' realities in 02 public schools, 01 from Coimbra (Portugal) and 01 from Piracicaba (Brazil). The project will be based on the current policy existing in the two countries. For Portugal, the law nº 60/2009 of 6 August regulated by Ordinance 196-A of April 9, 2010, which establishes the implementation of sex education in primary and secondary schools. For Brazil, the National Curricular Parameters - PCNs (1997), which relating to sex education, aims to mediate information and discuss issues related to the theme. So, through focus group with students, it is aimed to understand how the project of future is built for them and whether or not significant elements about the theme are built. It is expected that the high school students have brought elements from elementary school both in Brazil and in Portugal, for the understanding of sexuality, and to build a project of future with equity, less prejudice and exclusion, respect to sex differences and respect for all people, indistinctly.
