Abstract

Complexes of Re(I), Ru(II) and/or Ir(III) will be synthesized and characterized aiming an application in molecular devices for energy conversion, contributing for an energy generation and/or efficiency in an ecologically responsible context. Initially, complexes will be synthesized, purified and photophysical and photochemical investigations will be carried out by several techniques. Thin films of Re(I) and/or Ir(III) complexes will be incorporated in emissive devices, for instance, in light-emitting diodes (LEDs), and Ru(II) complexes will be immobilized on the graphene surface or on semi-conductor oxides for photophysical and photochemical studies and/or applied in photovoltaic device. Efforts will be, finally, driven for evaluating these complexes and nanostructured materials in the device efficiency for energetic conversion. (AU)
