Protected areas are under territorial pressures, and the State Park of Serra do Mar (PESM), Caraguatatuba core, state of São Paulo, is in the midst of a complex territorial context. In PESM's management plan, the program of public use, aims to bring environmental awareness to park visitors, through the subprograms of visitation, sustainable tourism and environmental education The expansion of urban zone in Caraguatatuba city, ,occurring since 1950s,continues leading to agglomeration of population in urban areas and increase of vertical growth. Currently, the regional context of the city includes the installation of projects and mills from Petrobras, bringing greater complexity in the social, economic and environmental relations in Caraguatatuba. This project aims to analyze whether the PESM's public use program in, Caraguatatuba core, covers the territorial complexity in order to educate visitors with large contents that integrate the ecodynamic and territory.
