Abstract

The present research project aims to analyze the concept of Cult TV and the applications of the therm to the cultural phenomenon of Brazilian television fiction. The subject is rarely studied in Brazil and it is important for a reflection over the cultral history and the creation of a collective memory about national television fiction. Based on historical guidelines which define Cult from the memories of fans, and in the present communication context of new media, the research proposes an analysis of communities and its members that get together to watch and comment the programs. With that aim, the project intends to suit theories and practice to the national context. (AU)
