Abstract

The project aims to investigate the effect of adding Saccharomyces cerevisiae biomass (SC) in dairy cows diets and aims the performance of dairy cows intoxicated with AFB1. The residues of the alcoholic fermentation containing SC will be obtained in producing ethanol and a brewery, located in Araras/SP and Pirassununga/SP. A preliminary in vitro assay for assessing the ability of removal of AFB1 by the different sources of SC in saline phosphate buffer solution at 25°C will be held. The in vivo experiment will be conducted using 30 multiparous dairy cows. Cows will be randomly distributed into 5 x 2 factorial arrangement, corresponding to two levels (0 and 200 mg / kg) of incorporation of AFB1 to feed and two levels (0 and 2 x 1010 cells for each SC 5.0 mg of AFB1) incorporation of dry yeast biomass (dry sugar cane yeast and inactivated sugar, autolyzed yeast cell wall residue and partially dehydrated brewery). The study will be conducted on the Dairy Department of Campus USP in Pirassununga. Will be evaluated daily production and milk composition (determination and quantification of AFM1 and concentrations of fat and protein), and the productivity of the animals. The results of the experiment will be subjected to analysis of variance, using for comparison between means, where applicable, test LSD (Least Significant Difference) Fisher, adopting ± = 0.05. (AU)
