Abstract

The Crop-Livestock Integration system (CLIs) has emerged as an alternative to increase the yield of production systems in a sustainable manner in the consortium producing grain crops and tropical forages, both in the no-tillage system and the conventional. This system provides beneficial effects on physical, chemical and biological soil attributes, and the correct choice of plant species to be intercropped and growing conditions (rainfed or irrigated) are extremely important . Grasses are of great potential in the maintenance of straw on the ground but high C/N ratio which can generate a temporary immobilization of N for plants in succession. Therefore, the use diazotrophic bactereas, including the Azospirillum, is an alternative which may assist in providing increased amount of nutrients for plants, producing a saving of nutrients. Therefore, the research will aim at an Oxisol under irrigated conditions and rainfed, in Cerrado, evaluate: 1 ) the effect of the inoculation with Azospirillum spp. in seed corn exclusive (single ) or intercropping with Marandu grass about their nutrition, growth and dry matter yield, grains and roots; 2) evaluate the residual effect of inoculation by Azospirillum spp. on growth and yield of Marandu grass with and without foliar application of inoculant Azospirillum spp. and nitrogen (50 kg ha -1 N - urea ); 3) evaluate each cut from autumn to spring , the forage yield and nutritional value of the effect of the application or not of nitrogen and foliar application of inoculant or not , on the chemical and nutritional quality of Marandu grass; 4 ) evaluate the economic performance of the (CLIs) under no-till during the study to verify the sustainability and profitability of each system rainfed or irrigated.
