The development of enantioselective reactions for the formation of C-C bonds is of great interest for the scientific community. Under point of view the enantioselective Heck-Matsuda reaction in its version is a recent topic in the literature. This arylation reaction has interesting aspect when compared to other procedures, such as practicality, efficiency and speed. However, due to their recent discovery, this methodology still needs further investigation aiming at its development. This project proposes the development of a new palladium catalyzed methodology for preparation of trans-dihydrobenzofurans diastereo and enantioselective substituted from styrene derivates and substituted ortho-diazonium salt hydroxylated. Additionally, the mechanism for this transformation will be investigated as well as its application to the synthesis of small molecules of medical relevance.
