This study aims to evaluate the in vitro effect of the application of resin based materials on enamel with initial erosion lesions subjected to erosive/abrasive challenge, for the prevention of the progression of erosive lesions. Two factors will be studied: the type of wear (erosion/abrasion) and the type of material applied, on 4 levels (control , pit and fissure sealant , adhesive system, infiltrant). The study will be developed with specimens prepared from bovine enamel with initial erosion lesion. The materials will be applied according to the manufacturer's recommendations, then will be submitted to erosive cycling corresponding to the immersion in cola drink for 2 minutes and subsequently in artificial saliva for 2 hours, 4X/day for 5 days. The abrasive cycling will be held 2 times/day/5days, always after the first and last erosive cycling, using a brushing machine and fluoridated toothpaste . The response variable is enamel wear, assessed by profilometry. The data will be checked for homogeneity and normality and if they are parametric data, two way ANOVA and Tukey test will be applied considering a significance level of 5%.
