Abstract

GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) systems have been widely employed in several situations. Among these systems GPS (Global Positioning System) is very used and popular. Nowadays many people have a "GPS", they are found in their cell phones, cars or other kind of rover dispositive. But, there are available more three similar systems from GPS: the operational GLONASS; and Galileo an Beidou, both in implantation phase. It is expected that in the future these 4 systems work together, improving the positioning availability and precision. In this research the main goal is to initiate studies concerning the use of Galileo for positioning. The Galileo project is leaded by Europe Union in collaboration with several countries. The system must be with complete constellation in about 2020 and it has been very investigated internationally. In this scientific Initiation project it will be possible to analyze the Galileo data quality, its accuracy on point positioning, besides investigate about its integration with other systems, mainly related to GPS/Galileo integration.
