This project proposes a study about the construction of criterions currently used for adoption of didactic books of Portuguese Language in High School. The research will analyze the latest Didactic Book's National Plan that was published in 2012, investigating how these texts expose the criterions to evaluate books. We could ask how the official documents impose an "order" to these books, in the manner suggested by Roger Chartier (1990) since, to establish the must propose the joint among the currently didactic books' adoption issues, the Portuguese Language's program for High School, the professional careers of the authors and the needs posed by the publishing because these aspects are very important to understand the didactic books as a product and, at the same time, a producer of publishing and scholar initiatives. In this perspective, the project can benefit of important analysis already developed about didactic books, as Choppin (2004), Chervel (1990), Silva & Correia (2004), Mantovani (2009), Munakata(1997) and Razzini (2000).
