Abstract

The diversification in the forms of Web access, driven by the increasing use ubiquitous devices, especially mobile devices, have motivated the development of methods for content adaptation available to be accessed within this new context in an accessible and usable. Besides the diversification of access, there is also the diversification users' profile that makes use of the Web resources, in which some profiles have barriers that tend to hinder or limit access to Web applications. Elderly users are an example of this profile type, since aging in people is usually accompanied by physical impairments (visual, auditory and motor) and cognitive (attention, memory, reasoning) that hinder the interaction interfaces lacking accessibility and usability. Thus, this project aims to identify the difficulties that older people face when accessing the Web on mobile devices, observing how they make use of menus for navigation. And therefore propose the creation of a mechanism for automatic adjustment menus web pages for mobile devices according to user preferences, focusing on a transformation that supports accessibility and usability for elderly. Moreover, it is expected to get this work studies the techniques currently used for pattern recognition, and studies on the accessibility and usability recommendations focused on the context of mobile devices.
