The study aims to compare the goniometric values of the joints of thoracic limbs and pelvic limbs in two species of monkeys. There will be used 18 monkeys, that will be divided in two groups: Group 1-9 animals Alouatta fusca, 4 males and 5 females, aged between 3 and 13 years and body weight ranging between 4 and 7 kg, Group 2-9 animals Cebus , 3 males and 6 females , aged between 1.5 and 7 years and body weight ranging between 1 and 4 kg . After chemical restrain, the animals will be radiographed and, right away, the joints angles of both, thoracic and hind limbs, will be measured with the aid of a plastic goniometer. It will be measured bilaterally: maximum flexion and maximum extension of the joints of the shoulder, elbow, carpus, hip, knee and tarsus; maximum adduction and maximum abduction of the joints of the shoulder, carpus, hip and tarsus. The measures will be carried out in triplicate by a single evaluator. To compare the values between limbs and between groups it will be used the unpaired "t" test. Differences will be considered significant at p < 0.05.
