This undergraduated research project aim at synthezising new pyrazolidinones and pyrazolones, using a methodology previously developed in our laboratory. Morita-Baylis-Hillman adducts are used as platform for the construction of new heterocycle compounds. The new pyrazolidines and pyrazolones synthezised in this project will be incorporated in a library of compounds screened against inflammationd and diseases caused by parasites, such as leishmaniosis (AU)
