Abstract

Objective: To investigate the effects of transcranial direct current stimulation in the primary motor cortex, associated with mobility with virtual reality training on functional and static balance in children with cerebral palsy (CP). Materials and Methods: A population sample that will be part of this project will consist of 20 children with CP between 4 and 12 years old. Children will be randomly allocated into two groups (control group: mobility training using virtual reality and transcranial stimulation placebo; Experimental Group: mobility training using virtual reality and transcranial stimulation active) and evaluated at three different times (pre -intervention, post-intervention and one month after intervention). The assessment will consist of analysis, static balance (force platform, Platform model Kistler 9286BA) in four conditions: feet flat on the platform with eyes open, feet on the platform with eyes closed, feet on foam eyes open, eyes closed foam feet for 30 seconds each, all purchases will be carried out also with the use of electromyography FREEEMG ® - BTS Engineering positioned over the soleus and tibialis anterior muscles bilaterally. The results will be statistically analyzed assuming a significance level of p d 0.05.
