Today, recycling and recovery of solid wastes are an important and interesting discussion worldwide. Under environmental aspect, deposit it in landfill cannot be the best way, once values metals can be found in this waste. Among solid waste with the highest potential for recovery of various metals is waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE). This kind of waste is one of the waste streams fastest growing in the world. The aim of this work is the separation of metals, such as copper, nickel and zinc coming from printed circuit boards (PCB) used in computers. It will be used synergistic solvent extraction to perform the analysis. In this work, it will be assessed different parameters to separate the interest metals. Initially, it will be chosen the system that obtains the higher extraction of copper, nickel and zinc. Then, the results obtained will be evaluated by the metal extraction percentage from dilute aqueous sulfate media besides synergistic effect of mixture of the extractans Cyanex 272 and TBP. Furthermore, different conditions such as temperature, pH of the feed solution will be examined. (AU)
