Staphylococcus aureus is the common agent of bovine mastitis, causing huge economic losses in Brazilian cattle. This micro-organism virulence factors have been well known as the production of hemolysin, and leucotoxinas toxin superantigens such as toxic shock syndrome and enterotoxins. The objective of the study is to characterize molecularly isolates of S. aureus from milk of cows with subclinical mastitis in various regions of the state of São Paulo, by MLST, spatyping, agr and clonal complex. Also tests will be performed phenotypic and genotypic antimicrobial resistance (including the SCCmec), and genetic research of some virulence factors such as Panton Valentine toxin, toxic shock syndrome and classical enterotoxins and sec, seh, sei, (only enterotoxin that so far demonstrated emetic activity) in order to verify which virulence factors involved in these framework.
