Convergence and divergence between philosophical psychology conimbricence and 'The sermons' of the Jesuit Antonio Vieira: an analysis of psychological knowledge

Abstract

Understanding the need for theoretical insights and analysis of ongoing research, we see in the research stage abroad the possibility to meet this demand. Such insights according to the outline of our research, mainly concerning philosophical psychology of the modern age and the vision of man and of the world included therein. The sermons of the Jesuit Antonio Vieira (1608-1697) are drawn from the world view of the period and also from the formation of the Jesuit author. Among the influences in the work of Vieira, the Comments Conimbricenses the work of Aristotle (published between 1592 and 1606) are of great relevance. With the deepening of the work Conimbricenses you can more easily identify the psychological knowledge in sermons and philosophical anthropology present these and notice it's own sermons. Our goal is to intern for nine months at the Faculty of Letters of the University of Coimbra (FLUC) under the supervision of a specialist, where we intend to deepen knowledge about the course Conimbricense, specifically the "psychology", anthropology, epistemology and ethics that this concerns : getting reading orientation (references and establishment fundamental status quaestionis study these themes in contemporary) and proper analysis, as well as greater access to critical literature and unpublished compulsar there existing libraries allocated in Coimbra (mostly), Porto and Lisbon . Intend to analyze and counteract the survey data in Sermons with Comments Conimbricenses and their respective critical fortune with the accompaniment of a specialist. (AU)
