Abstract

Masculinity/femininity are fundamental references that organize the imaginary and social life. Will manifest themselves in different ways, either tough and body, that is, active in the psychophysical dimension of being. Being male/female dynamics so fundamental, can contribuite to the actors work who problematizes its doing gender, venturing within the limits of normative gender boundaries. Through a scenic praxis, the search will map construction procedures and composition of the character Helen of Troy, mainly inspired in the tragedy "The Trojan Women", by Euripedes and in the historical research of Bettany Hughes. Passing by the very questioning of what is "character", it will seek to map symbolic and bodily elements that enhance the dynamics investigated in order to make the stage presence more complex paths pointing to an expansion of consciousness poetic supported in the dynamic female / male.
