The research aims to analyze how the concepts of mediation, culture and technology are included in the curricula of schools of Information Sciences in Latin America. The privileged corpus for analysis will be of Political-Pedagogical (PPPs) Course of Archival, Library and Museum Studies conveyed to the Asociación de Educación Ciencia e Investigación en la Información y de Iberoamérica Caribbean (which also hosts Spain and Portugal). We consider PPPs show aspects of identity and epistemology of courses and areas of expertise, and thus reveal aspects about the job profiles that will form. The methodology includes a literature review, document analysis and case studies. The research assumes that contemporary Information Sciences are closely linked to the concepts of mediation, culture and technology as they become strategic for the social appropriation of information in today's world. In this sense, it considers as main hypotheses guiding the research: 1) What theoretical under many authors state that Archivology, Librarianship and Museum Studies are integrated into so-called area of Information Science, but in practice curriculum of PPPs, such dialogue usually not if effective, 2) That the concept of mediation, from further reflection on the cultural and technological aspects of the present moment, could play a strategic role in this inter / transdisciplinary.
