Analogue models of gravity are physical systems which can be described by classical/quantum fields in an effectively curved spacetime. These models provide an alternative, both theoretical and experimental, to test predictions from Quantum Field Theory in curved spacetimes. This is a proposal for the scientific collaboration of the researcher in analogue model experiment attempting to detect the phenomenon of superradiance for the first time. The experiment, led by Dr. Silke Weinfurtner from the International School for Advanced Studies (SISSA), is being set up in the ELETTRA Synchrotron Light Laboratory, in Trieste, Italy. The visit, which will take place between oct-23-2013 and dec-20-2013, will coincide with the experimental runs and the data analysis. A theoretical analysis of stability in analogue models will also be pursued in this scientific collaboration. (AU)
