Iron oxides are important indicators for having a pedogenic formation influenced by environmental conditions and persist in the soil for a long time. Accordingly, the aim of this work is to investigate the relationship between iron oxides and clay CO2 emission Oxisols under cultivation of cane sugar, mechanized harvesting system in the state of São Paulo. A mesh in the area of approximately 90 ha shall be demarcated and georeferenced to evaluate the spatial variability of CO2 emission and soil attributes. Soil samples will be collected every 150 m at a depth of 0.00 to 0.25 m, resulting in a total of 60 points. FCO2 readings will be carried out with two mobile systems LI-COR (LI-8100) during the initial growth period of the culture. The reflectance values are determined with spectrophotometer Lambda 950 UV / VIS / NIR equipped with integrating sphere, every 0.5 nm by scanning in the range 380-2500 nm. The data will be submitted to descriptive statistics by calculating the mean, standard deviation, maximum, minimum and coefficient of variation. Will be constructed linear regression models and external validation between iron oxides and clay CO2 emission data of the soil.
