Abstract Holography is an unusual property of gravity that states that gravitation can be fully described by a (non-gravitational) field theory on the boundary of spacetime. This property is known as the holographic principle, and it is believed to be a generic property of any consistent theory of gravitation. The best-known realization of this principle is the AdS/CFT correspondence, which has recently become one the most-studied topics in modern theoretical physics. The basic purpose of this research project is to study the holographic properties of gravity from the viewpoint of teleparallel gravity. This is a completely novel approach to holography, and similarly to what happens with other aspects of gravity, we expect that the gauge approach of teleparallel gravity may unveil some new properties of holography.
