The ingestion of hyperlipidic and hypercaloric diet is considered as major factor in the obesity genese, which led to an increase in the ROS production, that is related to many metabolic alteration associated to the obesity. On the other hand, the ingestion of food with antioxidant properties could be a tool to prevent the deleterius effect of the high white adipose deposition. Acai puree (Euterpe oleracea Mart), native from Amazon Rain Forest, is a food consumed highly in Brazil and many countries and shows an antioxidant properties. Likely acai, jucara (Euterpe edulis Mart) is native from Mata Atlantica Rain Forest, also shows antioxidante activity, but the studies is scarce. The aim of this study is the effect of jucara puree in mice treated with hyperlipidic and hypercaloric diet on lipid profile and inflammatory status in th ewhite adipose tissue.
