The proposed project seeks to deeps the reflections on the use of the image in anthropological research, expand and consolidate the methodological and theoretical tools for the study of the intersection of visual and urban themes, in particular the use of photography as a medium and also as a subject for an anthropological approach to urban public space and graphic interventions such as graffiti. As a complementary effort to master research in progress, which sought to investigate the graphic interventions in the constitution and organization of urban public space with the empirical referent marked by two regions or areas of the city of São Paulo, the research internship in Lisbon CEMRI - Center for the Study of Migration and Intercultural Relations, will serve to refine the methodological apparatus. Participation in similar research initiatives that address the use and urban images, seeking references little used in Brazil, as well as theoretical solutions to the problem of anthropological constitution of urban public. The opportunity to analyse the same problems from other empirical reference, put the hypothesis of analytical reconfiguration of urban public space from its perception and practice from graphic interventions in new test, renewing the look on the problem of São Paulo City and maturing analyses and interpretations for completion of the survey.
