Abstract

The research proposal is to study two class of observables in supersymmetric gauge theories whose holographic (classical) description is provided, in the framework of the AdS/CFT correspondence, by minimal area surfaces in the bulk. These are Wilson loops and entanglement entropy. In particular I would like to focus on the following points: effect of time dependent background in the bulk and first order perturbations of the metric, classical and quantum comparison, c-theorem and topological entanglement entropy.
