Morphostructural analysis of drainage and relief lineaments, as conditioning on the geomorphological partitioning at the Jundiuvira River Basin - SP

Abstract

This Project integrates the activities developed by Quaternary group at the UFSCar - Brazil. This studies is about river basin river Jundiuvira, the mains nascents are located in the "Serra do Japi" a famous mountain range in southeastern Brazil, which contains a large geological and geomorphological significance in the state of São Paulo. Goals are to make a morphostructural analysis of the basin, and identify how it affects the geomorphological partitioning area. Starting from a geosystemic approach, work will be developed in two main areas: morphometric analysis of drainage and a morphostructural analysis of the basin. These analyzes will help understand these geomorphological processes in the region. The use of lineament's maps of relief and drainage in these analyzes will contribute primarily to identify the records of these processes. The RDE indicate the alleged occurrence of crustal deformations, because the drainage adjusts quickly to these events. With these goals achieved will contribute to the analysis of the morphotectonic influencing the regional relief.
