Abstract

The advent of Internet and the rapid evolution provided by the use of ICTs (Information and Communication Technologies), particularly Web 2.0, have allowed new ways of construction and knowledge access, contributing to the establishment of a new landmark for the education. In addition, issues related to the teaching and learning processes, together with the increase in demand for training and personnel qualification, have driven the related researches to education in different areas of knowledge. Particularly, we highlight the need to reconsider the way in which educational resources are designed, developed and made available for learners in order to effectively support teaching and learning, whether in the traditional, blended or distance modalities. In this context, the proposal of appropriate mechanisms for the development and delivery of educational resources is a prominent concern. It also highlights the need for mechanisms to provide higher productivity and quality of educational resources developed. Another important aspect to be considered is the development of Open Educational Resources (OERs). In fact, the free and open distribution of these resources contributes for the spread of knowledge and facilitates access to information. Also, OERs promote the democratization of access to education, allowing benefits for society as a whole. This doctoral project aims at proposing an agile method for developing and delivering quality OERs. A pilot environment should also be established to support the delivery of OERs developed as well to facilitate access and reuse of these resources. Finally, the mechanisms to be proposed must be applied in the development and delivery of OERs in different areas of knowledge, particularly in the field of Software Engineering and Free / Libre and Open Source Software (FLOSS).
