The children's behavior problems and parenting practices are variables that are correlated, since the management education of parents can lead to serious behavioral problems in their children, and can be considered a risk factor for such problems. In contrast, the development of social skills the child can be considered a protective factor for providing more reinforcing interactions and teach her what are the expected behaviors for each context.Parents or caregivers who have a well-established repertoire of social skills parenting (HSE-P) can, more often develop practices that increase the chances of the child to be skilled in order to increase protective factors for behavioral problems. Thus, an analysis of HSE-P, linked to the educational practices and behaviors of the child, shows up very important to increase the chances of parents / caregivers use strategies that maximize children's development. The theoretical and methodological apparatus of behavior analysis can support this type of analysis. The aim of this study is therefore to describe, compare and correlate positive parental practices (HSE-P) and negative behaviors of children as social skills and behavior problems, schooling and sex of children, groups for clinical and nonclinica. Participants 200 mothers / caregivers of preschoolers and elementary school, from three instruments: a) Roteiro de Habilidades Sociais Educativas Parentais (RE-HSE-P) b) Child Behavior Checklist (CBCL).
