In the limits of Jequitinhonha and Mucuri (MG): public politicies directed to rural space

Abstract

The current context of social policies in Brazil is aimed at meeting the demands of society, because the reality is characterized by strong socioeconomic inequality in income, education and infrastructure and requires the establishment of public policies to mitigate such problems. The research aims to analyze the actions of Citizenship Territories Program Mucuri Valley and Programme of Rural Poverty - PCPR, in the municipality of Itaipé and Carai - MG. Analysis will be prioritized in the Bolsa Família Program, the National Program for Strengthening Family Agriculture and infrastructure projects and income generation within the PCPR that focus on the generation and distribution of income for socioeconomically vulnerable populations in rural areas these municipalities. We will review the rationale for the formation of public policies that are intended to integrate the social, cultural, economic and environmental perspective of territorial development in the social activities of agents becomes relevant for the implementation and management of social integration, with the aim to reduce social inequalities.
