Abstract

A practical problem found in ports is carrying a load using a bridge crane. This task must be accomplished in the shortest possible time, avoiding obstacles and oscillations. The main objectives of this project are I) to study of the mathematical model of a didactic kit Loading bridge (bridge crane), II) the expansion of the model provided by the manufacturer considering a flexible cable (distributed parameter) and, subsequently, the implementation of the obtained mathematical models in a digital simulation system, and comparison of simulation results with the experimental ones. In order to perform the model validation, it is tested them in the closed-loop controller supplied by the manufacturer.
