Abstract

Considering the trends of new materials in Construction, the lightweight concrete with density between 400 and 1800 kg / m³, has been the subject of several studies with emphasis on particle size distribution of aggregates and their raw materials. The aim of this study is mix design to produce cellular concrete foam, analyzing the composite in fresh and hardened state. Mechanical properties such as compressive strength and tensile bending, and the porosity and permeability to air and water will be determined. The experiments will be made by molding cylindrical and prismatic specimens. It is expected to obtain a product with adequate strength and porosity suitable for the production of boards to be used for filtering water. (AU)
