There is a gap between architecture and urbanism promoted by culture teaching and market practice. In this process, there is a significant loss of quality of life due to a urban construction that ultimately produces no cities. If this is a present situation prevailing in the real estate market production of the high and medium standard is the concern about how this reality applies the so-called "economic sector" housing market, characterized by mass production absolutely no dialogue with the social, cultural, and geomorphological sites and communities deployment. In this context the hypothesis that the major issue that hinders the quality of these products is the urban-architectural lack of understanding of the dimensions of the meaning of home and the city, and consequently, the lack of equalization and coordination between both spaces. Thus, the research part of this hypothesis, conceptualizing and explaining about the meanings of home and city, from the point of view of urban life, the everyday experience of urban and human rights. This is the basis for a study of the variables that define and qualify for this transitional space between home and city, space supports the quality of life and urbanity. To support this goal the production-driven housing program My House My Life will be the central object of study. Products typological programs, marked by very low variability, will be analyzed in the context of different situations, seeking to quantify the influence of the variables of urbanity in affecting the quality of life.
