The radiographic analysis of the seeds, chlorophyll fluorescence and automated computer imaging of the seedlings present an effective way of determining seed quality of various species, appearing as non-destructive methods, quick response, with simple implementation methodologies and reproduction. Thus, it is proposed to adjust the present research methodologies that aim to relate the internal morphology of broccoli seeds with their physiological potential by analysis of radiographic images, computerized images of seedlings, as well as chlorophyll fluorescence of the seeds. To be used both seeds of two varieties of broccoli, with ten lots of each.The study will be performed by means of three assays, where the first consist in the use of radiographic images to relate the internal morphology of seeds and their physiological quality. The second assay relates the use of chlorophyll fluorescence as an indicator of maturity and physiological quality of seeds. The third will consist of the use of computerized images of seedlings (Seed Vigor Image System - SVIS ®) to detect differences in vigor after the storage of seeds, for twelve months, with quarterly evaluations. The experimental design is a completely randomized design with four replications. Data regarding evaluations will be submitted to analysis of variance and mean comparisons will be conducted by Scott-Knott test at 5% probability of error.
