Abstract

Teneurins are constituted by four homologous (tenure 1-4), initially characterized in mammals, and related to extracellular matrix proteins named tenascins. Teneurins are higher expressed in the central nervous system. Interestingly, this peptide family is conserved along with the different species and mainly expressed during embryonary development. The purpose of the present study is to analyze and to compare tenure expressions in the tissue and organs from non-human primates and rodents since previous studies showed their expression in mouse and chicken embryos. Tissue and organs will be used to analyze tenure distributions employing the immunohistochemistry method. (AU)
