Abstract

Monitoring postpartum is necessary to maintain life in cloned calves. It is imperative that the protocols and procedures, as well as the clinical evaluation of the cardiovascular and respiratory systems are enhanced to the survival of clones. The objective of this work is to standardize the use of ventilators in newborn calves giving the required respiratory support, evaluating the hemodynamic pulmonary artery pressure, heart rate, cardiac index by using the Swan-Ganz catheter, blood gas analysis of arterial blood, and establish exhaled nitric oxide condensate lung. for evaluation of respiratory disorders and obtain normal values of the studied parameters will be used 8 healthy term newborns and 16 preterm calves obtained by cesarean section. carried out between 265 and 270 days of gestation without induction of labor to ensure that there is severe respiratory disorder, respiratory support being kept in these animals during the first two days. Will be determined heart rate, respiratory rate, systolic and diastolic blood pressure, mean arterial pressure, cardiac index, mean pulmonary artery pressure, pulmonary capillary wedge pressure, central venous pressure, temperature, pH, pCO2, pO2, HCO3, BE, SO2 in following times: between 0 and 2 hours, between 2 and 4 hours, 6 hours 12 hours 24 hours 36 hours 48 hours 72 hours and 7 days. The exhaled breath condensate analysis for the determination of pulmonary nitric oxide as an indicator of lung injury is the time 0h (baseline) and on the 7th day of life. The animals will be divided into three experimental groups: 1) noninvasive ventilation with face mask and 2) invasive ventilation for tracheal intubation. 3) did not receive ventilatory support (control group).
