Abstract

The existence of concepts related to sustainability is of great coverage in the news, however, is undeveloped related to its high potential, so it is observed that the concept of sustainable construction could be achieved gradually through small localized changes that would increase over time. Therefore, this research project is focused on studying the feasibility to implement greater energy efficiency and environmental applied in single-family housing construction, aiming to contribute to spread sustainable technologies for efficient and economical aspects. This will be a literature review on the concept of sustainability, sustainable development and construction, as well as technologies and alternative energy that can be deployed in a single-family residence that will provide the foundation necessary for cognitive analyzes of costs and feasibility of a building more sustainable.
