Strongly Correlation system has very interesting properties, in particular, Ce-based intermetallic compounds. In recent decades this type of systems has been studied by different experimental techniques and theoretical models. The objective of this project is to carry out a systematic study of the structural and magnetic properties as well as the hyperfine parameters in intermetallic compound with rare earth that shown magnetism, superconductivity or their coexistence. In particular intermetallic compounds of type LaMn2(GexSi1-x)2 e CexGd1-xIn3 e CexTb1-xIn3 will be investigated through the following techniques: Neutron diffraction, magnetometry, Mössbauer spectroscopy (ME) and Perturbed angular Correlation (PAC), the measurement will be carried out in a wide range of temperature from 4,2 - 300 K. This project aims to give a broad overview of macroscopic and nanoscopic parameters in which the ion Cerium is involved. We will carry out neutron diffraction and Mössbauer measurements which will be performed at The Centre for the Physics of Materials of the McGill University, Montreal-Canada. The results will contribute to a better understanding on the behavior of the 4f electrons of the Cerium ion and their environment in this family of compounds. (AU)
