Abstract

Language learning in virtual context has become an important tool for the development of language, discursive and interactional skills of learners. Through the use of technological resources and collaborative ways, new generations of Portuguese speakers in the world can experience situations of actual use of the language by interacting with a native speaker or fluent. In this sense, the project Teletandem Brazil: foreign languages for all (FAPESP Thematic Project 2006/03204-2), currently affiliated with the Center for Languages and Development of Teachers, UNESP, promotes interaction between students of Arts and students from various courses in foreign universities, with the aim of disseminating knowledge of Portuguese among speakers of other languages and in return, provide the learning of another language that the partners domain. In this particular case, it is an inter-institutional model of interaction, in which the presence of mediators imposes some pedagogical control, determines procedures, and proposes some forms of assessment. This study aims to apply the assumptions of Critical Discourse Analysis, in order to investigate the events of language that emerge during interactions. It is qualitative research that will be guided by the following questions: a) thematic structures that are more frequent during Teletandem sessions; b) contents that need to be inferred during interactions; c) how this knowledge can help in mediations.(AU)
