Abstract

Conductive thin films have been used in a variety of applications in different areas. The substrate treatment is the important parameters for the successful preparation of the thin film, the surface without organic materials can be promote the interactions between the substrate surface and the coating. The tin indium oxide (ITO) is widely used as electrode in various optoelectronic devices. The ITO has been produced in the thin films form by several methods, such as: thermal evaporation, sputtering, chemical vapor deposition, electron beam, spray coating, and by sol-gel methodology mainly dip and spin coating. In this work we will study different treatments on substrates, the films would be prepared by chloride precursors of the tin and indium. The different kind of the solvent would be study in the preparation of the sol using non-hydrolytic methodology. The laser micro-machining will be used for obtain the film, different experimental conditions and laser parameters should be used to produce the ITO. The films will be obtain by spin and dip technique. The films and the solid materials will be characterized by absorption spectroscopy in the region of ultra-violet and visible (UV-VIS), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and / or transmission (TEM), conductance, Raman, Infrared (FTIR), Profilometry, Atomic Force among others. This project is a collaboration between the University of Franca (UNIFRAN) and the Institute of Advanced Studies (IEAv). (AU)
