Between rural and urban: rural labor migration processes Southeast Region Central Piauiense for the State of São Paulo

Abstract

This research proposal aims to discuss the migration processes between rural migrant workers. It takes as object farm workers picking oranges and cut the cane sugar Southeast Piauiense migrants and residents of neighborhoods considered "peripheral" or poor Central Administrative Region of São Paulo. Aims to reconstruct the trajectory of these rural migrant workers considering how (re) construct their social identities. Use will be methodological approaches of oral history and biographies migration in order to capture the social relations that are established in output during transit, on arrival and sojourn in SP. Quantitative analysis will also be considered, especially those information the census of 2010 identifying the case for these workers.
