Locate this study among those who purport to deal with the production of knowledge in education in Brazil, making a critical assessment of knowledge production in Physical Education, Sport and Leisure in Brazil, especially theses and dissertations studying the theme "Vocational Training in Physical Education. " Our investigation is articulated research Matrix Line Studies and Research in Physical Education, Sports and Leisure - LEPEL the Faculty of Education, Federal University of Bahia (UFBA), entitled "Issues of significant pedagogical practices of knowledge production, training teacher and public policy for Physical Education & Sport and leisure ". Search this being developed in collaboration with the institutional group Paideia / UNICAMP through the project "PRODUCTION OF KNOWLEDGE IN PHYSICAL EDUCATION: impact system graduate of South and Southeast regions of Brazil in the production and training of teachers and doctors working in higher education institutions in the Northeast. "in which the main objective is to identify and characterize the impact of the system graduate of the Southeast, particularly in the state of São Paulo, in the formation and production of knowledge among researchers working in higher education institutions in the states of Northeast Brazil. This study is justified given the need identified in previous studies to further examine the epistemological Physical Education considering a time frame and thematic In this project, we should develop more theoretical depth of the themes prevalent in the universe of fonts to be treated in the research group Paideia: vocational training in Physical Education. In this sense, we question what are the characteristics of dissertations and theses that address the theme "Vocational Training in Physical Education", with the main objective of identifying the issues addressed, the treatment forms the theoretical-methodological, epistemological trends, the educational proposals, social and political development. Our analysis will seek, from the elements mentioned in the scientific literature on the subject considering the context in which it is produced, pointing out the major contributions to understanding and overcoming the conflicts - both epistemological and political - of the problem of the definition of the Curriculum Guidelines Physical Education. We should use the main techniques of data collection, the bibliographic documentary. We intend to use as the basis for survey research database of CAPES from the definition of the terms "training" and "teacher training". For data analysis, we set the historical background on the epistemological analysis in physical education, major authors and research that influenced this field of studies in the area and the establishment of scientific developments in graduate school in physical education, especially on the subject studied. For the analysis of theses and dissertations will be considered: a) the epistemological analysis that will be based on the matrix paradigm developed by Sanchez Gamboa (1998) and include the identification of necessary technical, theoretical, methodological and ontological assumptions and gnosiological expressing political and ideological positions by researchers b) the claims policy and education proposals prepared by the subjects in fighting guidelines for the training of physical education teachers c) of the classic first generation of Marxists (Anderson, 2004). As a result, it is expected the appointment of indicators on the development of the scientific field of physical education, particularly on the issue of training and subsidies to discuss the professional field based on academic and scientific production already prepared.
