Adolescence and anti-social behaviour: development processes in not conventional situations

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to understand how anti-social behaviors can be configured as indicators of protection, recognition and positive personal in adolescents. This study is qualitative in nature with the participation of 12 subjects between 12 and 18 years, of both sexes, who regularly attend three institutions in the city of Presidente Prudente (SP) and that are constantly raised by the professionals working in institutions as examples of adolescents with antisocial behavior. At first, we will contact the institutions (public School, Project Alerta and CREAS) to know the possibility of this study. Then the professionals who work directly with the adolescents should point to those who manifest behaviors and actions that are not conducive to social norms or the institutions rules (problems with discipline, involvement in drug trafficking and exploitation of the practice of sexual exploitation). Subsequent to this selection, we will contact the adolescents to know if there is interest and willingness to participate. The adolescent and guardian must sign the Informed Consent indicating acceptance. Adolescents will be given a disposable camera and asked to be photographed people, places and institutions that are significant in their lives. Then reveal the album and make a semi-structured interview based on photographs taken. We will use the technique of agreement between judges for the construction of categories and interviews will be analyzed using the Ethnograph software. We intend this work to contribute to the development of actions aimed at populations where antisocial behaviors perpetuate. (AU)
