Abstract

Biodiesel can be produced from various raw materials, such as sunflower, soybean, castor, palm, cotton, groundnut, coconut and jatropha. With increasing to biodiesel production, also growing interest in the by-products generated due to environmental economics. Besides the glycerine is also high value added to the cake, grain derived after extraction of vegetable oils. This project intend to develop clean analytical procedure for monitoring gossypol in cotton cake. For this, it will be explored the coupling of flow analysis systems to either solid phase or long-path spectrophtometries.(AU)
