Abstract

As expected, up to the present stage of the PhD, were made studies emphasizing theoretical aspects, as well as, applications to the lot sizing problem on parallel machines of hybrid solutions methods that encompass Lagrangian relaxation and Dantzig-Wolfe decomposition. In this research project we intend extend and/or improve such methods and further investigate possible applications of these methods to other extensions of the classical lot sizing problem. (AU)
