Abstract

Patient safety is a topic of relevance in healthcare, becoming a fundamental requirement in managing quality and is intrinsically related to all health professionals. Considering the importance of the topic for the quality of care, this research project has the purpose to increase awareness of patients´ safety with a view to proposing future strategies aimed at quality improvements for care insurance. The research aims to identify and analyze the perception of nurses on patients' safety and to propose strategies for patient safety through the obtained data from professionals and surveys. This is an exploratory-descriptive cross-sectional study in order to identify and explore aspects of patient safety through the perception and experience, using a qualitative approach. The results are expected to understand the perceptions of nurses regarding patient safety and perhaps stimulate interest in the topic to make it a constant practice that may inspire other team members with a view to safe care.
