Abstract

For prevention in the context of psychoactive drugs is necessary to act in the scenario in which teenagers are, because they are considered vulnerable population to start using these substances. The use of interventions in the school environment with teachers provides the possibility of action on this population, because of proximity and knowledge that these professionals have of the students. Main objective: Investigates the potential of teacher education itself in preventing the consumption of psychoactive drugs among students, based on the principles of participation and personal autonomy as a tool for social transformation; specifics: Identify the possibilities of drug use prevention in schools; Identify needs for that action becomes effective; Develop a methodology that involves interventions with educators, face the issue of preventing the consumption of psychoactive drugs by teens; Evaluate the results of the intervention with educators arising from the action-reflection-action. Methodology: This is an action research that will be developed in four articulated stages, with an average of 20 educators in a public school institution in Ribeirão Preto - SP. The first will consist of a field research and participant observation, records arising from participant observation will be written in a systematic way in the field daily observer. The second stage occurs knowledge of thematic universe, through interviews, to allow knowledge of context, identify problems and experiences on the use of psychoactive substances among students and generating themes for the next step. The third stage will consist of focus groups, in which generative themes will be presented in thematic units, order to develop an action plan. And lastly will occur evaluation of the study intervention, after six months of the completion of the last session, through the effective implementation of the project prepared by educators. The results will be subjected to content analysis and analyzed according to the theoretical Humanist of Paulo Freire and Health Promotion, with problematization perspective. (AU)
